– DISCUSSION of COVID-19;
a.) Can animals get Coronavirus? Cattle, cats, camels and bats…from the CDC. If you are sick, your pet can become a FOMITE. Virus may be viable on your pet, a carrier for a while.
b.) Whether blood type A may be more susceptible? In China most of the infected patients have Blood Type O. Here in American most people have Blood Type A. So regardless of your blood type, do the social distancing, hand washing, things you can control.
c.) Still need to donate blood during this time. LStream is a necessary entity and exempt from the “Shelter-In-Place” order.
d.) DEFINITION of “herd immunity”. The more folks that develop “self-immunity” the safer the community will be.
– DISCUSSION of his information stream.
– DISCUSSION of how and where this new vaccine will be distributed.
– REPORT that COVID-19 is 10 times more lethal than influenza. Only 40% of Americans get influenza, where as 90% of Americans may get COVID-19.

– Insurances may NOT charge a co-pay for testing. Riverside County is offering FREE testing throughout the community, w/ a Doctor’s order if you meet the criteria.

– You thought you were in good shape but now you wonder what’s going to happen to you financially. RELAX.

– Coronavirus is causing folks to be completely digital and home-based.
– REPORT; DON’T store passwords on your browsers. Use password manager programs. Scan for malwares too.
– His company is offering to do their services wearing masks and gloves if customer would like.
– DISCUSSION of cyber security; that you must ask technicians what type of cyber-security measures they use and know how to use. Ask if they are bonded and licensed.
– For as little as $5/month Dennis will monitor your basic security issues on your computer and can do it remotely as well. If yo buy the software it will cost $59 to $79.
– REPORT that you don’t need to turn off your computer in the rain. Do need a battery backup.
– REPORT to put protection ON YOUR PHONES too. Webroot and Bitdefender are a couple of these apps.

– REPORT that many care-givers have trouble “giving up” the care of a loved one to Brookdale and why.

DEMENTIA HELP CENTER w/ Kae Hammond re: President & Founder; 495 Town Center Way, 44 Ste., B, Palm Desert, CA. 92260.
– DISCUSSION of people suffering from a great sense of isolation. Loss of conversational skills, phone calls, friends etc.
– DISCUSSION that friends and family start stepping away. They don’t know what to do or say to the caregiver. They are terrified of what is happening to their friend and fearful it will happen to them. Animosity goes BOTH WAYS.
– REPORT that isolation happens for the patient as well when they are cared for @ home.
– ISOLATION is a major issue in this country vs. Solitude. CDC calls isolation a disease now.
– DISCUSSION that isolation causes depression, dietary changes, hoarding issues, shopping networks addictions and therefore the loss of their funds.
– DISCUSSION that a spouse feels guilty because they “promised” their spouse would NEVER have to leave home, that they would “care” for the spouse FOREVER.
– SUGGESTION to just pick up the phone and ask the caregiver what you can do/get/bring them. Etc.
– RECOMMENDS “share the care” situations and support groups.
– 70% of caregivers suffer chronic, life-altering conditions or DIE before the person they are caring for.
– REPORT on “THRIVE” a FREE a support group for Dementia Family Caregivers. Usually meets 1st and 3rd Wed., of every month @ 10 AM. Hosted by “The Fountains @ the Carlotta”. Call for details
