3. Read that Medicare and Medicade will be gone in CA., (Not true. Medicare will go to everyone who has worked all their life, automatically. Medicare B must be requested. Then you can get the Medicare Supplement or the Advantage Plan.)
4. Will drivers pay less for insurance in Feb., in CA? (Insurance is really difficult NOW. IF YOU ARE ONE DAY LATE paying your premium, the insurance companies will probably NOT RENEW YOU.)

2. Is recruitment down in Palm Springs? (This is not a problem here. Since the Chief got here the roster is almost full and plenty of people in the pipeline. Takes about a year and a half to educate and train an officer.).
– REPORT on his being honored @ the Tour de Palm Springs. The support of the police for all community events. His officers do a lot of overtime and are truly dedicated.
– DISCUSSION of his family and wife Cathy and their involvement in the community.
3. Is jaywalking not a ticketed offense now? (That’s true but in Palm Springs they will get a warning to be certain they are safe.).
– REPORT that violent crimes are DOWN.
– REPORT on how to be a good, observant citizen.
– REPORT on his views on the homeless population. Not concerned about their “status” but their “behaviors”. Focus on the top 30 folks who need attention. Will enforce several “hot spots”.
– DISCUSSION of the “census” of the homeless population just taken. Got 266 head count. Will count every 2 years, 2 or 3 times a year to see how we are doing.
