J – DISCUSSION of what was found in Lee’s lung and how he treated her, even though she had NONE of the risk factors. Lee’s story w/ the nodule smaller than the size of a dime that showed on a scan. More likely in women!!! caused by a certain mutation in women who have NEVER SMOKED.
– REPORT that EH is the ONLY hospital in the CV w/ both ION Robotic Bronchoscopy and SABRE. (single anesthesia bronchoscopy and resection event.) The biopsy is done and while the patient is still “under” the surgeon cuts out the nodule. Done thru the mouth. Very precise.)
– DISCUSSION of the dangers of vaping and the contribution it may have to lung cancer. REMEMBER THE GREAT AMERICAN smoke out.
