– REPORT that the Cincinnati Zoo has vaccinated 80 animals for Covid.
– STATEMENTS/QUESTIONS from “Joey Pals” in the “Medicine Cabinet”.
1. Kids and Covid? Is Covid a big threat to kids? (The great debate. Kids under 12 made up only 27% of cases. Kids DO get Covid and DO SPREAD Covid. The Delta variant. They don’t get REALLY SICK. Only 300 deaths in kids from Covid. Thousands have been in hospital, get pretty sick, but DON’T DIE. Kids w/ Covid are LIKE KIDS W/ THE FLU. We want to vaccinate them to get them back in school, give them some normalcy in their society. Most of the surges for kids happen in low-income states. These kids are a vector to spread Covid to older folks and most kids are asymptomatic.)
