– The Chamber has masks for anyone that needs one to help “flatten the curve” and to be certain that the problems are not because of our businesses.
– Chamber has over 1100 members and still taking new ones.
– Stress the partnership between businesses and residential entities.

– REPORT on the return of the “Walk of Stars” program. Waiting to hear the guidelines from the Governor and/or County to gather 300 folks.
– REPORT on how to apply for a Star; Headed by Michael Ellis. 1. Paper work is on the website. 2. Then you must go thru qualifying committee. 3. Then you must go thru the larger committee. 4. $5,000. deposit is due after these first 2 steps and then you have 2 years to raise the $15,000. price of a Star. Due when you pick a location.

– EXPLANATION that insurance companies (Dennis represents over 30 of them) have gotten together to reimburse 15% for 2 months of premiums for Auto ONLY for April and May. You don’t have to call your Insurance Agent, this will be done automatically.
– REPORT that for Commercial Insurance Clients, they will get a similar deal and again, you don’t need to call anyone.
– FAMILY UPDATE. Another son is engaged!!! REPORT on the baby due to another son in July.
– QUESTION about insuring a car/truck that is not being driven. Do a “non-op”. EXPLANATION of a multiple car rate, with a lower rate for each car even though the overall cost may go up a bit.
– Covered CA. has extended their eligibility time frame. Call Dennis, he will do the PAPERWORK.

– URBAN DWELLERS ARE MOVING TO SUBURBIA, and SUBURBIAN DWELLERS ARE MOVING TO RURAL AREAS.
– Good time to do a market analysis NOW. Study in buyer behavior.
– Keller/Williams is the largest real estate sales force IN THE WORLD.
– REPORT this is NOT a real estate crisis, it is a health crisis.
#1 – DISCUSSION that buyers have LEARNED how to use their home differently for work, family etc., and may need a bigger or smaller home to serve their needs in this “new normal”.

– WE NOW have 100 patients in the 3 hospitals in the Valley that have tested positive. Ventilators are not recommended any more. Patients are 50 and above and will most likely not survive.
– REPORT that the “surge” hospital in Indio might need to come back.
– REPORT on the drug dexamethasone reducing mortality in hospital patients. NO SHORTAGE OF THIS DRUG. Inexpensive.
