– REPORT that the incidents of colorectal cancer in folks over 50 have gone down dramatically since 2018. 
– DISCUSSION of Colorguard ads on TV.  Has had some measure of success in lowering cases of colorectal cancer.  i.e. Katie Couric.  Difference in anal cancer and colorectal cancer.
– REPORT that if you are 50 or over HAVE A COLONOSCOPY.  Colorectal cancer IS PREVENTABLE.
– REPORT from Lee that a colonoscopy is not painful….Lee said it was ‘the best sleep she ever had’.

SAVE THE PLAZA THEATRE w/ J.R. Roberts re: Founder of the “Save the Plaza Theatre Foundation”.
– REPORT on J.R.’s dedication to the Community and his years on the City Council.
– REPORT on the Walk of the Stars dedication for David Lee in Fri., March 18 and then after party @ Il Corso.  Then the “Team Frasier” reunion (w/ David Lee, Peter Casey, David Hyde Pierce & Peri Gilpin) to “Save the Palza Theatre” @ the Plaza Theatre (built in 1936 and declared a Class 1 Historic Site in 1991) on Sat., March 19 and the after party @ “Oscars”.
– DISCUSSION of all the ages of folks interested in saving the theatre.
– REPORT that David Lee (Frasier’s Executive Producer and co-creator) donated $5 million dollars to the “Save the Theatre” cause toward a $10 million dollar budget to restore the Theatre.
– REPORT on the FREE concerts in the new P.S. Downtown Park the first Wed., of each month.  April’s FREE concert will be a tribute to Elton John.
– DISCUSSION of the Hollywood HIstory in Palm Springs and the fact that there is more of that here than in Hollywood.
– REPORT on the mission statement of the Save The Plaza Theatre Foundation. All the things that the venue will be used for. The great parking.  The fact that the City of Palm Springs owns it.

– REPORT on MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL’s training camp is open. There will be a regular season.  Still discussing rule changes in BB. i.e. Designated hitter may come to the National League; making bases bigger, maybe putting advertising on uniforms.
– REPORT that the analytical aspect of BB has slowed the game.
– REPORT on BASKETBALL’s John Wooden Award and Tournament.
– REPORT on THE BNP TENNIS TOURNAMENT; a lot of Ukrainian athletes have quite sports and joined the Ukrainian Army.
– REPORT on HOCKEY and the impact of Russia’s invasion of Ukrainia.
– REPORT of how life’s events impact the world of sports.

– REPORT that he is working to bring the CV Firebirds and the Acrisure Arena here. Acrisure is an insurance company out of Michigan.
– REPORT on his personal history.  From Indiana.  His career working w/ professional hockey teams.  Becoming a lawyer.  His life as a hockey player and skating as a defenseman.
– COMMENT that girls play hockey.
– DEFINITION of what “three sheets of ice” means in Seattle for instance.
– REPORT on the plans for hockey here in the Valley.  To provide exceptional entertainment to all the cities.  Their central location.|
– REPORT that they will provide programs, i.e. street hockey, until the Arena is up and running.
– REPORT that there will be community/public classes to understand and learn about hockey; to learn how to skate; etc.
– DISCUSSION of the Team Store; new merchandise, CVF Hockey Jersey sales, etc. Brand has been launched.  Retail store on El Paseo in Palm Desert.  Also available on-line.

– ANNOUNCEMENT; Peaks is now open for both lunch AND dinner.
– REPORT that the last tram up is now @ 8 PM.
– REPORT on NEW everything.  i.e. Cocktail lounge, lookout lounge, lighting that changes from dusk to dawn, kitchen, tables, chairs, murals, etc,
– REPORT that dinner is from 5 to 8.  New center-cut beef tenderloin and the 14 oz. ribeye, plus Colorado lamb.

2. Highly transmissible Covid-19 sub-variant? (Yes, that’s the BA2, also called Stealth Omicron. Hard to “find” it. Sighted in China and Hong Kong.)
– REPORT that antibodies to the original strain do not necessarily protect you against Omicron.
– REPORT that there might be something ELSE coming along.  Riverside Country numbers are down.
– REPORT that D.O.H.C. still has vaccines available Monday and Friday @ Palm Springs and Indio and Tuesday and Thurs., in Yucca Valley.
