– MISSION STATEMENT; Gender equity for woman and girls in education, research and advocacy.
– REPORT that AAUW Nationally has pioneered Title 9 and the Fair Pay Act.
– REPORT that they have an advocacy branch as well as a separate 501C3.
– DISCUSSION that they start w/ girls in 7th grade and go up through college. AAUW sends them to a STEM camp for a whole week. They have sent over 40 girls to this camp in the last two years. AAUW has the girls MEET w/ the women who run these groups etc.,
– HOLD THE DATE:
1. March 6 @ Palm Valley Country Club, the 2nd Annual PURSE AUCTION @ 5 PM. Purses are filled with all kinds of gifts and tickets etc., Tickets @ Eventbrite or at the door. Tickets are $100. Food and drink too.
2. March 19 is Woman in Sports Day @ CV Firebirds game. Tickets are on-line.
