– REPORT on new airline services: Alaska Airlines is going to Portland year round; Canadian Porter Airlines started Dec., 12 flying the new 195 E2; United’s new Wash/Dulles non-stop started Dec., 19; Delta will join Alaska for non-stop JFK and started Dec., 21; Allegiant will do year round service to Bellingham, WA.

1. Measles outbreak in Texas and New Mexico? (Yes, in W. Texas. 125 cases. First child to die of measles in 22 yeasr. Measles was wiped out years ago. All these children were sick and many were hospitalized. All were unvaccinated. 18% of all the children in this area opted out due to acceptable reasons, i.e. religious. These numbers are the highest since 2019. Medical officials blamed this outbreak on the vaccine. ABSOLUTLY IMPOSSIBLE.)
– REPORT that w/ the measles vaccine you get 2 doses AND it is 97% effective and are protected FOR LIFE. Measles has one of the highest mortality rates for children. The geno-type of Measles has changed. The vaccine works against any know Measles virus.
2. Why is this flu season worse than others? (3% of all deaths in the U.S. right now are from the flu. Highest rate in the last 10 years. 4 times worse than last year. This year might be the worst in 20 years. This is the time of year where the vaccine is developed for NEXT year. Not too late to get your flu vaccine this year. Normally should go away. If you develop other symptoms, perhaps you need a different drug. Always know your own BP numbers, take your BP 3 times a week @ home).

– DISCUSSION of what he’s doing the “most” of now…helping folks find insurance because MORE companies are leaving CA left and right. i.e. Kemper and Nationwide. So there are fewer companies to choose from. So many companies have STOPPED writing insurance in CA. Nationwide has closed their doors to new business. Dennis can move these folks to other insurance companies. Companies are getting more aggressive.
– REPORT that his staff includes his son and another new employee and he still needs a couple more. Dennis will train anyone new.
– QUESTION “JOEY PALS”
1. What’s going to happen to insurance companies/coverage in CA? There is a product called the CA. Fair Plan for FIRE insurance ONLY. Guaranteed issue but covers FIRE ONLY and only up to $3 million homes. If you have a CA. Fair Plan, you’ll need an additional companion plan for all other coverage. Be certain you have enough coverage. You should have @ least $300 coverage per square foot of your home. Carriers who are staying in CA. will RAISE THEIR RATES!!!)
– DISCUSSION DO NOT BUY MORTGAGE PROTECTION, buy life insurance because mortgage insurance death benefit goes down w/ your home equity, BUT YOUR PAYMENT WON’T.
– REPORT on how Dennis is an independent broker and still has more agencies he can write with than other insurance agents.
