DEMENTIA HELP CENTER w/ Kae Hammond, re: 75-270 Hwy., 111, Ste., 204, Indian Wells 92210.
– MISSION STATEMENT that Dementia Help Center is the rescue plan for family caregivers. Offer individual and family coaching, personalized planning, care management and placement when the time comes. Fear cripples, but knowledge empowers.
– REPORT on the concern that everyone has as they begin to feel confused. Think of your mind as a file cabinet and as you age how much you have to store and remember.
– DISCUSSION that there are lots of solutions.
– REPORT on the meds that help clear the plaque in our brains but the costs is $25,000/month. They do not SLOW the disease, but help w/ the symptoms.
– QUESTIONS FROM “JOEY PALS”
1. Is there a connection between Alzheimer’s and your stomach? (Yes, the gut to the brain, re: Dr. Stephen Gundry. Has to do w/ the blood, brain, barrier. Some products cross the brain barrier thru the blood)
– REPORT that sometimes Dementia is called Type 3 Diabetes.
2. Does picking your nose increase the risk of getting Dementia? (Yes, your nail can cut the inside of your nose and it gets infected and is too close to your brain.)
3. Are there medications that increase your risk of getting Dementia? (Yes, some medications mimic the symptoms of Dementia. Because we have more forms of Dementia now as well.)

SHELBY AMERICAN LEGEND w/ Allen R. Grant
– DISCUSSION of how he started racing @ 18. An AC Ace Bristol which later became Carroll Shelby’s Cobra in 1962.
– REPORT on his winning record. How he became a welder first, then production control for Shelby in Modesto. He was a home builder that built over 5,000 living units in 4 states and the first one was in MANTECA, where Joey went to High School.
– DISCUSSION of he negotiated to be the driver for the Shelby. George Lucas designed the paint scheme of the Cobra. Songs written about the Cobra and how they came to be.
– REPORT on why the Cobra was so unique. How it was built in England and then Ford Motor Company in Detroit. Ford then financed the complete Shelby operation.
– DISCUSSION of the competition between the Ford GT and Shelby who won the World Championship. The legendary 1964 and 1965 seasons.

1. What are all these calls I’m still getting about whether or not I have Medicare? (This is actually illegal to do. Praying on Seniors. HANG UP.)
2. What is happening to Medical in the State of CA? (Asset tests changed in July to $130,000 for a single person and $195,000 for a couple. Later this year the asset test will be completely gone. Based solely on your income then.)
– REPORT that his agency focuses on Medicare. Not many agents do this specialty. He will have on-line and in-person classes to attend to keep up w/ the changes. He has 42 agents that work under him.
– REPORT that there are over 100 to 110 Medicare Advantage Plans available in Riverside County.
– REPORT that the problem is FINDING the right specialists and coordinating care.
– REPORT that the Medicare Advantage Plans ARE COUNTY SPECIFIC.
– REPORT that all costs WILL INCREASE. Watch the changes in drug costs.
– REPORT that Medicare is NOT just for older persons.
– DISCUSSION of his association w/ the clients from D.O.H.C. He is the LOCAL agent and phone number!!!!
