– REPORT that on any given day his institute @ EH touches over 1,000 patients. 18 departments in the Cardiovascular Institute.
– REPORT that Eisenhower Health has been recognized as a Top Teaching Hospital in the entire nation, by the Leapfrog Group. EH became the CV’s first teaching hospital.
– REPORT on Eisenhower being recognized as an Edwards Benchmark Observation Site.
– DISCUSSION of the recent groundbreaking of the 2nd phase of the Washington Family Center. This will house the new Cardiovascular Institute along with specialty clinics and more.
– DISCUSSION of the Renker Wellness Center was the 1st phase that now houses the 3rd largest intensive cardiac rehab program in the Country.
– REPORT on the planned 4 story construction plan that is in place. This will take about 2 years to complete. Added 60,000 visits a year to his clinic.

– DISCUSSION that the CV Firebirds in the AHL are an affiliate of the Seattle Kraken in the NHL. CV Firebirds develop the players for the Kraken.
– REPORT that the team is playing great. Amazing record for such a young team.
– REPORT on the Firebirds great record last year where they finished one goal out of winning the whole thing THEIR FIRST YEAR IN EXISTENCE in an overtime game. No other team HAS EVER done that in their first year.
– REPORT that 9 to 10,000 folks a game are watching hockey @ Acrisure.
– DISCUSSION that the players are from all over the world. Even a Yale graduate. Dress 18 a game. Girls league has started as well.
– DISCUSSION of how the ice is managed w/ other events @ Acrisure. How the venue is changed for concerts from hockey in a timely manner. i.e. The Eagles to the Firebirds. Now the crew can turn it over in 6 hours.

He grew up in Canada…the youngest of 7 kids. He began playing piano @ 5. He studied @ University of British Columbia and then @ Julliard.

2. Is there a current outbreak of measles in the U.S., especially in a couple of airports? (Yes, but you can only get measles IF YOU ARE NOT VACCINATED. Parents have sent kids back to school and spread the disease.)
