1. Will Medicare pay for a walk-in tub? (Not considered a Medical Necessity. But certainly a Useful item. “Social determinates of help” are being developed and discussed. More about the environment than about actual care.)
– DISCUSSION of VA Coverage and Medicare Coverage. Will Medicare complement or constrict. People can have both coverages.
– DISCUSSION of “in-home support”. Not covered by Medicare for things could possibly “impact” your health. For this you need long-term care insurance.
– REPORT that Medical DOES have long-term health care. You must first qualify for Medical, which is strictly income-based and then you must qualify for the in-home support.
– REPORT that all costs WILL INCREASE. Watch the changes in drug costs.

– DEFINITION of Section 14. The sq. mile of downtown Palm Springs. History w/ S.P. Railroad and the Tribe divided up that land.
– REPORT that this work is written “collectively”; stories from lots of folks who lived there.
– DISCUSSION that the purpose is to open up to healing by telling these stories that are a part of our history.
– PHASE I. – Staged reading will be June 21, 22, 23 at Coachella’s City Hall and June 28, 29 and 30 in @ the Methodist Church in Palm Springs.

1. What can I do for my driveway? (Especially here in the desert there are lots of things. Weather issues come into play. If you can afford it: pavers. Then there is also sand, gravel. Part grass in a checkerboard pattern, desert gold sand. Gravel is great too. Sand and gravel “settle in” w/ use.)
– REPORT on Dann’s brand-new book 1st advanced copy of “It’s All In The Mix; Design Ideas for Living Well”.
