GREEN ROOM THEATRE CO. w/ Jerome Gentes re: 1515 6th Street, Coachella 92236
– REPORT that Jerome is the lead playwright on “Displacement; Stories from Section 14.”
– DEFINITION of Section 14. The sq. mile of downtown Palm Springs. History w/ S.P. Railroad and the Tribe divided up that land.
– REPORT that this work is written “collectively”; stories from lots of folks who lived there.
– DISCUSSION that the purpose is to open up to healing by telling these stories that are a part of our history.
– PHASE I. – Staged reading will be June 21, 22, 23 at Coachella’s City Hall and June 28, 29 and 30 in @ the Methodist Church in Palm Springs.
– REPORT that PHASE II will be planned and hopes to be a full production.
