THE MAMA’S HOUSE w/ Rachel Harrington re: “A Place of Hope”. She’s the Executive Assistant to the Founder. The location is secret for the safety of their clients.
– REPORT they are a home for pregnant women in crisis. Shelter and a home for after they have their baby. Different community partners help w/ different emergencies.
– DISCUSSION of how they find their clients. Hospitals, police, 30 community partners, etc.
– REPORT that there is a Hope Center in Palm Desert to counsel and educate these women.
– OBSERVATION of the help this facility gives to these clients.
– MANY clients have no place to go, no support system, no means of financial support.
– HOPE to open an extension facility for pregnant women who have additional children as well in the future.
– REPORT that volunteers are needed. Mama’s House will train you. Need sitters, tutors, etc., etc., Also need dollar donations. Information is on the website.
– REPORT that they can house 10 mothers and babies.
– DISCUSSION that after the birth Mama’s House helps them get their diploma, take classes on parenting @ no cost, get professional therapy, go to support groups, take art classes etc.
– REPORT that there are no age limits if the pregnant gal is in crisis.
– REPORT that there are tax receipts for donations.

LALO VISIONS w/ Lalo Tachiquin re: Spiritual Guide from Casa Del Monte in Yucca Valley.
– DEFINITON of Lalo’s “gift” of communing w/ angels to pass on messages to the living. He’s a spiritual healer, medium, clairvoyant and psychic reader.
– QUESTIONS from a “Joey Pal”.
1. Lalo can relay messages from the spirit to his client, can the message go back the other direction. (No, the messages only come from spirits to Lalo, not back to the spirit from the client).
2. How do you know what spirit belongs to whom? (He can “see” the spirit and send the message to the right client).

– DISCUSSION that there is a difference driving a “bumper tow” or 5thWheels vs. a RV. But there are classes to teach you how to drive in this new situation.
– REPORT that in these Days of Covid there has been such a demand for coaches, they need inventory to sell to first time buyers.
– REPORT that they will take anything in trade “that doesn’t eat”. lol
– REPORT on the difference licenses needed to drive an RV.
– REPORT that people feel safer traveling in their own environment, w/ their family, sleeping on their own sheets, eating their own food…not going into restaurants and risking COVID-19. “Home if where you park it”!!!!
– REPORT that RV’s have the technology to “stop” you if you are going to have an accident. Have adaptive “cruise control”, etc.
– REPORT that all motor homes have their own generators. Also solar systems that are self-sufficient.

2. Children rates of COVID growing. (Children STILL get better faster. Kids can’t get some of the drugs, but children don’t get very ill.)
3. Rate of virus visible in the sewer water in the Coachella Valley getting lower? (It has always been a surrogate ‘marker’ for the community).

– DISCUSSION of the Three levels @ Brookdale care provides: 1.) Independent Living 2.) Assisted Living and 3.) Memory Care/Alzheimer’s/Dementia (Clare Bridge, 20 residents) that Kurt oversees.
– REPORT on new Executive Director, Mr. Us Valdo. Very experienced in assisted living facilities.
– REPORT that everyone; staff and residents, has gotten their 2nd shot. Partnered w/ CV Pharmacy who came to the site. Starting to open up little by little.
– REPORT that there are a few vacancies.
– REPORT that in Independent and Assisted Living facilities things are opening up a bit.
– DISCUSSION that Ashley is planning activities for St. Patrick’s Day.
– REPORT that all the residents “live” under one roof and are not quite able to live w/out masks yet.
– REPORT that some units have full kitchens, some have kitchenettes.
– REPORT on the procedure when the facility “opens back up” w/ family and friends coming back to visit.

– QUESTION FROM A “JOEY PAL”. “Do you get Dementia or Alzheimers first. (1. There are over 98 forms of Dementia. Determined by a scan of the brain. What parts of your brain may have shrunk? i.e. lewy bodies dementia.)
– REPORT Lewy Bodies has similar symptoms w/ Parkinson’s Disease. This is in the frontal temporal lobe. No part of dementia is part of normal aging.
– REPORT that diagnosis shows w/ behavior changes, gait, verbiage etc.
– DESCRIPTION of some of the tests involved. i.e. “mini mental state” exam.
– TIP to enriching the health of your brain is to focus and to concentrate.

– DISCUSSION of how someone would know if something happened to one living alone after a loss and the changes to adjusting to that lifestyle. i.e. don’t go outside w/out your cell phone etc.
– DISCUSSION of how people continue to hurt after a loss and everything that can trigger the pain.
– DISCUSSION of the therapeutic effects of re-visitng sites, sounds, trips, memories etc., after a loss.
