– DISCUSSION of the safety provided in the RV World.
– REPORT that there are Caravan Clubs of RV owners now that folks love and join.
– REPORT on the great deals she is giving on trade-ins now. Best used selection in a long time.
– REPORT that it’s a great time to get a bargain on a previously owned coach. She is still ordering new ones.  New ones are OLD before they are delivered!!!!
– DISCUSSION of how successful Mike Thompson is EVERY MONTH and as more folks get out there into the “campgrounds of life” LOVE it, demand goes up.

EISENHOWER HEALTH w/ Scott Stretch, Chief Administrator Officer of Cardiovascular Services for E.H. and Lee Rice 17 years as Media Coordinator and Communications Specialist @ Eisenhower Health 39000 Bob Hope Dr., Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270.
– REPORT that E.H. is always looking for the latest technology and innovative procedures and they are now providing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement.
– REPORT that E.H. has done 500 TAVRs and is the only hospital in the CV to be doing so.
– DISCUSSION that BEFORE the valve could only be repaired by opening the chest, which is not necessarily a good option for older patients.
– TAVR goes in thru a very small incision in your groin and goes up thru your aorta w/ a small catheter and fix your heart from the “inside out”.  NOT AS INVASIVE SURGERY.
– DISCUSSION that patients who might not survive the traditional surgery have a better chance of longer, healthier lives.
– REPORT that frail patients, who can’t survive the anesthesia, etc., can have this TAVR procedure safely.
– REPORT that the catheter is the size of a pencil and your aorta is the size of a nickel.  Patients are up and about usually the same day and have little or no hospital stay.
– DISCUSSION of how the surgery is done via contrasting dye on a computer.
– REPORT that Eisenhower Health is the first hospital in CA. to achieve these levels of TAVR success.  Gets folks up, in and out.
– DISCUSSION of different levels of anesthesia are used.
– REPORT that this procedure has allowed older patients to be treated safely.  Oldest so far is 102.

– REPORT that the City is in a very difficult place W this point in time due to Covid and the cancellation of the Palm Springs International Film Festival this coming Jan. IT WILL BE BACK.
– DISCUSSION of the millions of dollars that are at risk during a production by a major studio, everyone understands why the PSIFF had to be cancelled.
– REPORT on the City’s Homelessness Situation.  Difficult and worse during Covid.  Unhoused (due to economic reasons) and the City is working to get them into housing and back to work.  The City has placed hundreds of these folks and is working extensively w/ charities, i.e. Martha’s Village.
– REPORT that many homeless are children and seniors.  IMPORTANT STATEMENT FROM THE MAYOR….when you see a homeless person and are tempted to give them some money, IT IS BETTER to buy them food, or take them to a shelter so they don’t spend the monies on drugs.
– REPORT on the status of crime prevention in Palm Springs and the wonderful new police chief Andrew Mills.  We have very little crime compared to other communities.  Our tourist population and car thefts are tempting to criminals.

He was 6’ and 175 lbs. and then began football his senior year in high school.  Then Fred went to Northwestern University on a track scholarship and then switched to football under Coach Ara Parseghian.  Then he was drafted by the 49 ers. (starting salary was $9,500/year). He became a cornerback. He earned his nickname “the Hammer”.

– REPORT on his 5 years w/ the Raiders and then being traded to the Chiefs for 5 years and they ended up going to the 1st Super Bowl.

– DISCUSSION of how Covid has affected sports.  NBA played split seasons.  NHL has suspended their season as of now due to Covid. NFL not definite as to what is going on.  Rutgers is in the Gator Bowl. 
– REPORT on this weekend’s College Bowl playoffs.
– REPORT on how everything, even the Olympics are “day to day” because of Covid.
– REPORT on local sports. i.e. BNP Paribas plans to come back in March.
– REPORT on the C. V. Firebirds, American Hockey Team will play in the new arena being built out East.  Minor league team is the expansion team – Seattle Kracken.
