– DISCUSSION of the innovations and advances D.O.H.C. has caused to happen.
– REPORT on the results for D.O.H.C.’s “40 for 40” campaign. D.O.H.C. gave away an additional $40,000. to 10 different charities. Results can be seen @ #1 – Palm Springs Animal Shelter. #2 – F.I.N.D. Food Bank. (51% of the population here in the CV will experience some kind of food deprivation.)

– DISCUSSION of the joy of working for an organization such as D.O.H.C. that is so concerned w/ the quality of life for members of their community.

– REPORT on being back. A bit of a shorter schedule.
– DISCUSSION of the various marketing tools/offers @ the Ballpark.
– REPORT on being here since 2000. Mostly athletes from College. Doing a “non-conference” schedule.
21 home dates until July 17.
– REPORT that games are all played @ Palm Springs Stadium. 13 teams in the League.
– SPECIAL PROMOTIONS; Tues., $2. Beers. Wed. $1. A child. Sat., 1/2 off bottles of beer. Largest mist system in the desert.
– REPORT on his three children w/ Vicky. All the various competitions for the children in the stands. i.e. bounce house.
– REPORT on $13. All-inclusive tickets.
– DISCUSSION of how “host families” were this year.
– REPORT that there is a game TONIGHT @ 5 PM then there will be wrestling for the entertainment of the fans. No fireworks or game TOMORROW on the 4th.
– REPORT that sometimes after an early start to a game there is a concert after the game. Various local bands.
– DISCUSSION of their record of 11 and 1 on the Season. They lost a game in extra innings.
– REPORT that the Power plays every Tues., Wed., Fri., and Sat., thru July 17.

– REPORT on his perception of how charities in the CV will return to a new “normal”. Perhaps more television events allowing more people to become aware of the different charities and watch from the comfort of their own homes.
– DISCUSSION of the “giving” climate for Charities and 501 C-3’s here in the Coachella Valley.
– REPORT on Richard’s incredible history in entertainment. Was the chief programmer for the Fed. Res. Bank of S. F. Renaissance Pleasure Fair

– REPORT that the VWIP Competition will come back in April 10 – 18, 2022. Expecting 25 contestants. Need housing and now you don’t NEED to have a piano, just an extra bedroom. There are other folks w/ pianos who have offered them up for practice.

– REPORT that for the 4th of July water usage. Perhaps to have a bucket of water to put out sparklers, etc., let the kids run thru the sprinklers to do “double duty”.
– REPORT that this is peak water usage outdoors. Watch the length of showers, laundry, dishes, sprinklers, etc. Check for leaks.
– REPORT that the lobby is NOW open again.
– REPORT on her sons Dillon and Chase (6 months) and the example of how to educate young people about water conservation.
– REPORT that DWA can still do programs/meetings thru Zoom.
– REPORT that the snowpack is the most impact on our water.
– REPORT on the DWA incentives to help people make the right water choice and use water wisely. Lots of coupons available.
– REPORT on the importance of swimming pool safety.
1. Are water rates going up? (Not from DWA @ this point in time. DWA is doing a study so rates may go up in the future.)

1. Will Windows 11 work on my PC? (Biggest announcement from Microsoft in 6 years. Was announced June 28th. Get his newsletter w/ the 10 things you need to know. TPM Trusted platform module 2.0 will be a requirement for Windows 11.)
– DISCUSSION that originally you got Windows 10 FOR FREE. Expecting the same thing for Windows 11. Will come thru an update. New PC’s w/ Windows 11 installed will be ready by Christmas this year.
– REPORT that the official release of Windows 11 will be in quarter 4.
– DISCUSSION of the changes you will see in Windows 11 vs. 10. Taskbar, file explorers, multi-tasking, The Microsoft store is completely changed. You can see some of these changes now.
– REPORT that any time there is a massive new operating system change we will have to re-learn new things. Should be safer. Dennis can give you lessons in basics thru advanced computer usage.
– REPORT on how Dennis can “take over” your computer and NOW also your phone and IPad remotely, monitor hacks, and run all diagnostic checks for $50./month for up to 3 devices. Spam Assassin is one of his programs. He can check remotely if you have the TPM on your computer.

– REPORT on the memorabilia for Marilyn inside “Crazy Mel’s”. i.e. Marilyn wine he bought years ago, all the photos, pictures donated from fans, draft beer, etc.
– REPORT on the red Marilyn t-shirts for sale for $15.
– DISCUSSION of the drama surrounding the return of “Marilyn Forever”. Her bday was June 1, 1924.
– REPORT on being the ONLY RESTAURANT w/ a full view of “Forever Marilyn”.
– DISCUSSION of the tour buses that will be coming to view Marilyn. As the P.S. Follies buses use to do. So good for the businesses in Palm Springs. Kudos to the City Council for re-installing “Forever Marilyn”.

Dakota, Utah etc. This variant is easier to catch, but if you are vaccinated and you get the Delta Variant, you will have a mild case of Covid.
– REPORT that w/ a 2 shot vaccination you get 88% protection against the Virus and w/ one shot you get 33% protection. Shot will keep you out of the hospital, out of ICU and out of the graveyard.
– REPORT on all the “variants of concern” and “variants of extreme concern”. The vaccine is still effective against the Delta Variant.
