Seg 2 – “Legal Eagle” Segment
LISTEN TO THE COMPLETE SHOW FOR DETAILS OF SUBJECTS DISCUSSED IN THIS INTERVIEW.
LAW OFFICES OF ROBERT L. FIRTH w/ Robert Firth re: 68910 Adelina Road, Cathedral City, CA. 92234.
– DISCUSSION of the legal system and court goings-on in New York. Report that the prosecution has a hard case to make.
– DISCUSSION of all the legal issues in the media right now.
– QUESTIONS FROM “JOEY PALS”
1. Are parents usually libel for their children’s crimes? (No, not usually. Can be charged w/ aiding and abetting though.)
2. Who is at fault when the police pulled over a driverless car? (The owner of the car is libel. Could be the manufacturer who programed the car. Can be driverless car w/ a person sitting in the back seat. Could have been “testing” the system. Car could possibly be impounded.)
3. If you leave your animal in the car and the new car is still running and the screen says the car is running the animal is safe. But in Palm Springs LEAVING THE ANIMAL IN THE CAR is basically illegal. Never mind the new technology.(The car can run out of gas and stop running causing tragedy. Robert’s new car will notify him if he leaves something in the back seat.)
4. How valid/good are these “do-it-yourself” wills? (No good. You don’t know all the ramifications or don’t think thru ALL THE STEPS.)
– FOCUS OF ROBERT’S PRACTICE.
1. Personal bankruptcy. There are lots of chapters in personal bankruptcies. Either chapter 7 where you get all your debts discharged as long as you get rid of all the secured items. Mortgages also. You CANNOT discharge student loans, judgements against you from a DUI, or a tort, or last 3 years of income taxes. Or a chapter 13 where if you make more than the median income in CA ($70,000/yr for a single person) you MUST do a 13. A Chapter 13 has a payment plan.
2. BK will be on your FICA for 10 years.
REPORT that when you file a Chapter 7 Robert can get you a 700 credit score in a year if you do what he says.
