– W/ a Safety Fair, check station for their child seat.
– Kids Zone w/ activities provided for the kids that they can take home. Face painting. Climbing wall. Live animals too.
– Gift shop, food to purchase.
– Beer and Wine Garden for purchase.
– Raffles, live music.
– Mission is as a “non-profit land conservation” organization. They “buy” land from willing sellers then they preserve and conserve the land. Over 16,000 acres. Also sell land to the Bureau of Land Management.
– Volunteers needed so apply on the web site.
– Visitor’s Center is on Hwy., 74, 4 miles up going South.
– DISCUSSION of the suggestions for hiking safely. i.e. phone, water, extra clothing, etc.
– Every Thurs., guided tours. Meet @ 9 AM @ the Visitor’s Center on Hwy., 74.

– Pines Café has wonderful food and is more casual. Menu will change there too. i.e. fried chicken and mac and cheese.
– Will be changing the menu to more hearty things for the colder weather.
– John is also the Executive Chef.
– John is the President of the P.S. Chamber and President Elect for the P.S. Rotary.
