– QUESTIONS FROM “JOEY PALS”
1. Can you have a bottle of wine/liquor on your front car seat? (Yes, if you are over 21 and it is unopened. If it’s been opened put it in the trunk. FYI search by a policeman is ALWAYS allowed if it is something you can be arrested for.)
2. How much deposit should you put down on construction? (The maximum deposit is 10% of the total job OR $1,000. Whichever is less. FYI always hold back some for when the job is completed.)
3. What is Measure AA? (Desert Regional Hospital has been leased by Tenet. This is for Tenet to lease the bldg. for 10 years and then buy it @ some agreed to figure. Won’t costs the taxpayers. Desert Sun has endorsed it. Nurses are opposed.)
4. What is Prop.47? (Was passed in 2014. Said drug possession etc., under $950. Is a misdemeanor not felony. Now Prop. 36 is to repeal part of 47.)
– FOCUS OF ROBERT’S PRACTICE.
1. Personal bankruptcy. There are lots of chapters in personal bankruptcies. Either chapter 7 where you get all your debts discharged as long as you get rid of all the secured items. Mortgages also. You CANNOT discharge student loans, judgements against you from a DUI, or a tort, or last 3 years of income taxes. Or a chapter 13 where if you make more than the median income in CA ($70,000/yr for a single person) you MUST do a 13. A Chapter 13 has a payment plan.
2. BK will be on your FICA for 10 years.
REPORT that when you file a Chapter 7 Robert can get you a 700 credit score in a year if you do what he says.
