COACHELLA VALLEY VOLUNTEERS IN MEDICINE w/ Doug Morin, re: 82915 Ave., 48, Indio and 555 E. Tachevah, Palm Springs
– MISSION STATEMENT; CVVIM is the only non- profit organization in the Coachella Valley to provide FREE primary care healthcare services to uninsured individuals who are also low income. All their physicians volunteer their time. Their budget depends on grants and donations.
– REPORT that they provide ANYTHING the patient needs; CT scans, MRI’s, lab tests etc., so that the doctor can treat the patient.
– REPORT that they get lots of support from all 3 hospitals, D.O.H.C., Kaiser, etc., Both services and donations.
– REPORT that all their staff is properly trained, licensed, bonded etc., Federal government helps by providing mal-practice insurance.
– REPORT that they get their patients mostly from “word of mouth.”
