– DISCUSSION of his trip to Paris.
– REPORT that Red Jeep is VERY BUSY. All 13 Jeeps have been out twice a day.
– DISCUSSION of what they do and what they tell guests to do when they encounter a rattlesnake. They carry a “snake stick”. The snakes are around the oasis where the water is, because that is where their prey is. A group of rattlesnakes is called a Rhumba or a Coil.
– REPORT that Red-Jeep Tours is in it’s 36th year. Was started by a woman.
– REPORT that reptiles “brumate” and small desert mammals “estivate”.
– REPORT They have 15 Jeeps and 2 SUVs. They have 40 drivers/guides. All are well-trained and make their own tours up. Although there is a list of required things to show on the tour. They run tours 3 or 4 days a week.

– DISCUSSION of the New York Post article about McDonalds $16 meal. This is a very old story. Prices use to be set by supply and demand. Now the CA. legislature has made it impossible to do business in CA. for may venders and stores have had to shop out of state which increases the cost to the customer.
– REPORT that some European stores are using computers rather than persons.
– REPORT that the employers don’t benefit, the customer doesn’t benefit, but payroll taxes and workman’s comp go up and the GOVERNMENT benefits.
– DISCUSSION of the issues his 31 stores are having w/ supply and demand. i.e. leaf lettuce for salads and lettuce-wraps.
– REPORT that the owners can pick ingredients.
– DISCUSSION of the impact of the 2024 minimum wage coming in Jan.,

1. Over the Counter availability for Mounjaro, Ozempic and Wegovy?
– DISCUSSION that these can be bought on the Internet. GLP is Ozempic. Approved to Type 2 Diabetes. Mounjaro (you lose more weight w/ this one) is newer and has a dual mechanism. There’s a study coming showing that Ozempic (can be made by a compound pharmacist) and Wegovy (came out w/ their own version of the weight loss drug) have a fantastic result w/ diabetes AND IN MANAGING WEIGHT LOSS, as well as reducing risk of cardio-vascular disease. Mounjaro showed @ every stage of the study a better weight loss effect than Ozempic. Health risks for using these outside of indication and there’s a shortage of them now. Discussion of the risks for these once-a-week injections. There are pop-up fakes w/ these products. REPORT on the costs and whether or not to pay for them.

2. Is MPOX gone? (Yes. Started in 2022 and ended pretty quickly. Most of the cases here in S. CA. were in Riverside County. Less than 1/3 of the population got vaccinated, yet the virus disappeared.)
3. What is Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) (In the winter months when there is less light, there’s a drop in Serotonin, and your circadian rhythm. Women get this more than men. Bi-polar folks suffer w/ it more. The farther you are from the Equator. Treat w/ light therapy. Runs in families. Increase in suicidal thoughts. Do more in the sunshine. Take more Vit., D.)
4. Will music decrease any pain you are feeling? (Yes, it does. Any distraction technique will actually help. Especially in the dentist office to distract you from the sounds and even the smells.)

1. What are the biggest home decorating trends now? (At all the trade shows Christopher is seeing a return to warm, neutral colors. The gray, the white is OVER. Christopher is mixing them, but people were afraid to do that. Beige, brown (chocolate) and hunter green are coming back.)
