– REPORT that PSP is very busy and that we have 30 airlines now.
– DISCUSSION that air service is growing. i.e. year round service via Alaska to Portand and via Frontier to Denver. 300 global destinations w/ ONLY 1 STOP…called Direct Flights, NOT non-stop.
– REPORT that if you are checking bags get to the airport 2 hours ahead of flight time.
– REPORT that now there is the overflow parking lot. There are shuttles to and from the airport.
– DISCUSSION of the “play and pay” register on www.flypsp.com to shop, eat, etc., w/out security.
– REPORT on the pink door (i.e. the pink door house in S. Palm Springs) @ the airport. It’s an emblem of Palm Springs that is pre-security and has coffee, retail, etc.,
– DISCUSSION of the progress of the construction; Trio in OPEN, the concessions, 6 RETAIN, including duty-free is coming. Eventually perhaps another terminal.
– REPORT that we have 3.2 million passengers a year now. Airlines are flying in more passengers but on bigger planes. The heat and temperatures doesn’t impact take-offs and landings for these newer planes now.

– REPORT on the real Pink Door house in S. Palm Springs on Sierra Way.
– DISCUSSION of snakes; all snakes are cold-blooded or ectothermic, because they get their internal temperature from the outside temperature. Joey’s Koi Fish go into stasis type of brumation.
– REPORT that some snakes lay eggs (overvigorous – where we get the word viper from) but as soon as they are laid, they hatch. Other snakes lay eggs, and they take a while to hatch.
– REPORT that the Mohave Green is possibly the most dangerous snake in the Valley.
– REPORT that snakes can strike from any position, not just coiled. Can strike up to 1/3 of it’s body length.
– DISCUSSION that NO snake is poisonous, they are venomous, which must be injected directly into the blood system.
– REPORT that young snakes are more dangerous than older snakes. Older snakes can regulate the amt. of energy it takes to express venom. Young snakes can’t regulate their venom, so they will give you ALL the venom they have. IF YOU GET A SNAKE BITE, GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM.

Cont. 3. Does red dye #40 cause cancer? (Yes. AND causes behavioral issues in young children as well. CA. has banned red dye #3 and #40. Mostly used to color candy. Red dye #3 actually comes from petroleum, which is KNOWN to cause cancer.)
4. Are beets good for your blood pressure? (You can use beets to color foods red. Lowers your LDL.)
5. Since D.O.H.C. focuses on helping people avoid dementia. How can there be a city in Texas (Rio Grande City) where 1 in 4 has Dementia? (City had bad water, a high rate of poverty, high rate in Hispanics).
6. How can there be a link between picking ones nose and Alzheimers? (Yes, because an infection in your nose might go straight to your brain. Sensuous cells in your nose that can be irritated.)
