2. What is spousal privilege? (Also known as marital privilege, refers to legal protections that sdhield spouses from being compelled to testify against each other in court.)
3. What is a “tort”? (A civil wrong that causes harm or injury to another person, for which the law provides a remedy. There are several types of torts. )
– FOCUS OF ROBERT’S PRACTICE.
1. Personal bankruptcy. There are lots of chapters in personal bankruptcies. Either Chapter 7 where you get all your debts discharged as long as you get rid of all the secured items. Mortgages also. You CANNOT discharge student loans, judgements against you from a DUI, or a tort, or your last 3 years of income taxes. Or a Chapter #13 where if you make more than the median income in CA ($70,000/yr for a single person) you MUST do a 13. A Chapter 13 has a payment plan.
2. BK will be on your FICA for 10 years.
– REPORT that when you file a Chapter 7 Robert can get you a 700 credit score in a year if you do what he says.
