1. What should you “say” if you are in an accident? (1. DO NOT APOLOGIZE. This info is on the back of your insurance card. 2. You have the RIGHT NOT to speak to an officer. If you do, TELL THE TRUTH. BE RELUCTANT. Take a photo. Get medical attention if you THINK you need it. )
2. Can you drive barefooted? (There is NO law that says you MUST have shoes on!!!!)
3. What are my privacy rights? (2 areas of privacy rights in CA. 1. In CA. Constitution Article 1 you have AN ABSOLUTE RIGHT TO PRIVACY. 2. Law in 1974 deal w/ consumer rights; i.e. what others are doing w/ your information and the right to delete or CORRECT wrong information, i.e. on the Internet.)
– DISCUSSION that when you have had that drink you “feel” that you can drive and don’t use the Safe Ride.
– DISCUSSION that people may drink more because they have the Safe Ride coupon.
– REPORT that people are drinking less.
– DISCUSSION that a drunken driver kills someone every 39 minutes. HORRIBLE.
– REPORT that cars are getting safer, law enforcement is “on the job”, but the accident rate has not gone down.
– DISCUSSION of the validity of the “self-driving” cars, that seem to “see” more than a human driver.
