– MISSION is to create innovative, communal and intentional living spaces that empower people to find purpose, belonging and opportunity to thrive together”.
– REPORT that they want to connect people and resources to build vibrant communities where “connection” reduces loneliness and inspires a strong commitment to support one another.
– DISCUSSION of communal living; multi-generational, multi-economics and multi-loneliness.
– REPORT on how this works in today’s society.
– REPORT that biggest issue is one of PRIVACY.
– REPORT on the balance of independence they desire.
– REPORT that all legal work will be done in advance by them.
– REPORT on “intentional living”. “Choosing to live in alignment w/ common values that prioritize relationship, well-being over isolationism and consumerism.”
– DISCUSSION of how this Charity came to be. Dr. Julie is his partner in this. Wanted to serve the aging population who might be lonely in some way or another. “The Pandemic of Loneliness”. Get back to the concept of a “village”.
– DISCUSSION of the focus is on all segments of the community. Almost like a “roommate” service.
– REPORT that all this communication will be based on an “on-line” platform w/ the latest technology to find people. i.e. there’s a group of families that all have autistic children.
– DISCUSSION of what the DIFFERENT living arrangements that can be. They have 5 different models that they are considering.
– REPORT on how the “groups” are decided. By the people who want to live together.
– REPORT that this will all be guided legally, w/ rules about living, leaving, etc.,
– DISCUSSION that the Foundation/501 C3 will help w/ fundraising. Response has been great on so many levels.
