– DISCUSSION of Lent, what it means, when it comes. The ashes are a sign of the cross on forehead or hand. Reminder of our mortality and where we came from. “We are from the stardust and God created us”.
– REPORT that he will be downtown Palm Springs offering ashes to anyone on Wed., March 5.
– DISCUSSION that this body is temporal. Important how we treat each other. Example of Christ interacting w/ his disciples.
– REPORT how the ashes are created. From burned palm fronds. Ashes are ordered from a company.
– ASH WEDNESDAY will be March 5. He’s challenging his church members to think about how to “create good”.
