Listen to Seg 2

WALTER CLARK LEGAL GROUP w/ Walter Clark re: 71861 CA. Hwy 111. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270.
– MISSION STATEMENT; Representing people who would otherwise NOT be represented in a fight against an insurance company. He advances the funds for the litigation and doesn’t collect unless he wins.
– DISCUSSION of his commitment to serving the community and where it came from. He believes Democracy cannot succeed w/out education.
He is committed to helping change this, especially in the East Valley.
– QUESTIONS/TOPICS FROM “JOEY PALS”
1. Does having a CA. Driver’s License give a policeman the right to demand a breathalyzer test? (It’s not the license that gives them the right, it’s the law. If you REFUSE (breath, blood or urine), your license will be suspended. Even if you do NOT have a license, you will NOT BE ALLOWED TO DRIVE. You must do everything the police ask, BUT NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS.)
2.What is the conflict between being charged as an adult? (17 or below, you are a juvenile and your offense is not considered serious. The gray area is if one is 16 or so and have committed a heinous crime, the DA will petition the court to try the individual as an adult. The judge decides this. If you are found to be an adult, it sticks w/ you no matter your age.)
3. What are the SafeHouse Facilities? (The victims of “trafficking” very rarely can GET OUT. Fearful of violence, fear of danger to their families in other countries.)
– DISCUSSION that a drunken driver kills someone every 39 minutes. HORRIBLE.
– REPORT that cars are getting safer, law enforcement is “on the job”, but the accident rate has not gone down.
– DISCUSSION of the validity of the “self-driving” cars, that seem to “see” more than a human driver.
– REPORT on the generous donations WCLG makes to students in need. Even to getting clothes for children.
