– DISCUSSION that the remodeling of the Thousand Palms location is NOW OPEN. 72120 Pet Land Place, 1000 Palms. Urgent care, oncology, cardiology, and basic services.
– REPORT that “Dogust” is the official birthday for shelter dogs.
– HOLD THE DATES;
1. Poorly Drawn Pets, in it’s 2nd year. Volunteer artists draw a piece of art based on a photo of a pet sent in w/ $20. Donation. www.animalsamaritans.org/dogust. Fun and hilarious. See last year’s photos on the website.
– DISCUSSION that spay and neuter services are more reasonably priced and even financial aid is available.
– REPORT that August is the official birthday of all shelter dogs.
– HOLD THE DATES:
1.Sat., Dogust 23; 11 AM – 1 PM. At the Rowan, Palm Springs. Bday PLUS Bingo. Doggies for adoption.
Bash and Bingo Event; 11 AM – 2 PM. Tix on sale now @ www.animalsamaritans.org. Please no pets, except service animals. $50. For lunch, all the wine you want, and a bingo card, etc.
2. Sun., Dec., 7; – 16th Annual Men of the Desert Fashion Show and Luncheon “Walk in the Park” 11 AM – 2 PM @ the P.S. Air Museum. Tickets not on sale yet. Fashion show put on by Susan Stein.
– REMEMBER Barry Manilow’s “Gift of Love” coming
– REPORT on the Adoption fees are $90 for kitties and $250. for puppies.
– REPORT that volunteers are ALWAYS NEEDED.
