– MISSION STATEMENT; Dementia Help Center is the rescue plan for family caregivers. Offer individual and family coaching, personalized planning, care management and placement when the time comes. – REPORT that 64% of family members who care for Dementia/Alzheimer’s patients will develop CHRONIC ILLNESSES of their own and frequently DIE before the patient they are caring for. NOW there is NO CONVERSATION as opposed to other illnesses where the patient can still talk and understand.

1. Recognize & accept that things are now different.
2. Control your tone of voice & manage your patience levels.
3. Be careful about “crowds”.
4. Provide family members & friends an update, in advance.
5. Ask everyone to introduce themselves.
6. Honor their comfort zone.
7. Accompany your loved one into the public restroom.
8. Stick to their routine as much as possible.
9. Take advantage of available perks when traveling by air.
10. Introduce a new “tradition”.
