BARKINGHAM PET HOTEL CALIFORNIA/CA. PAWS RESCUE/RESCUED TAILS w/ Wendy Rall and Christy Peters re: 73650 Dinah Shore Dr. Palm Desert.
– REPORT on CMFT, TCHP, CACLT, CCKTP titles that Wendy has.
– REPORT on Christy’s “Tyson’s Love & Hope On Wheels” a 501 C-3 Nonprofit; sharing love on wheels that spin. www.tysonsloveandhope.org.
C – REPORT that Tyson’s Love & Hope On Wheels supplies animals in need w/ wheel chairs for over 2 years AT NO COSTS. All over the country/world. All different animals. Some animals need all 4 wheels. They are a “loaner” program as well.
W.- REPORT on how she met Christy. The 2 of them are working together on pets @ Barkingham. Discussion of how the animals respond to the wheel chairs.
C. – REPORT on the different sizes they have available. Fit animals from 2 lbs to 200 lbs.
C. – DISCUSSION of how they raise funds, calendars, etc.
W. – REPORT on the care she provides for Senior Dogs @ Barkingham Pet Hotel. They age first in their rear legs. How beneficial the water treatment/hydrotherapy is for these dogs.
– REPORT that the majority of Wendy’s work @ Barkingham is to strengthen muscles.
– REPORT that one of the veterinarians who attends these dogs commented on how much better they are doing after the hydrotherapy.
– REPORT on how you can “calm” your dog. Pet Companion Magazine has some good articles. Wendy’s experience w/ “Ziggy”. How to give your dogs “time” to get comfortable. Wendy’s experience w/ “Benny”.
– DISCUSSION of how therapeutic massage therapy is to dogs.
– REPORT on “acupressure” and “acupuncture” for dogs as well.
– DISCUSSION that her sessions are 45 minutes.
– DISCUSSION of what Wendy does to help dogs w/ hydrotherapy. Low-impact exercise. Helps your dog to fight aging issues, weight loss and more. Enhances range of motion, balance, mobility and flexibility. Can be customized to your dog’s needs. Relaxes both mind and body. Done in warm water. Treats stress and loneliness.
– DISCUSSION of Canine massage therapy. Description of the tank and treadmill. Wendy gets in the warm water w/ the dog. Good for all ages and types of dogs. Helps w/ joint support, stress and pain. Can add aromatherapy and music therapy. Improves sleep. Will increase circulation and healthy bowels. Dogs swim naturally.
