1. Why such an increase in autism? (Yes. In 2000 it was 1 child in 150; in 2020 if was 1 child in 38. 1 in 31 is 8 years old. 3 and a half times more likely for boys than girls. We now do a better job of screening and diagnosis. 1 in 28 are Caucasian; 1 in 32 are Hispanic. Causes; genetic, older parent, mother obese, or birth trauma.)
