– DISCUSSION of how busy the airport has been due to so many events. BNP Tennis, White Party, Spring Break, Easter Coachella, Stage Coach etc.
– REPORT that you MUST get to the airport 2 HOURS EARLIER THAN YOUR FLIGHT.
– QUESTION FROM A “JOEY PAL”
1. Do folks pay for the special security services i.e. TSA Pre-Check and CLEAR just to sneak in and possibly cause trouble? (No, they go through the same security procedures and screenings as regular passengers. TSA is $99. every 5 years and CLEAR is $189. Every year. CLEAR is verified by biometrics and they are escorted by a CLEAR representative and go to the head of the line.)
– DISCUSSION of PSP being a “spoke”, not a “hub”. A hub is where passengers connect to other flights.
– DISCUSSION of “Stay and Play” new visitor pass program. Details on the website. Register to get a gate pass, go thru security, go to the gate to meet someone, or spend some time thru security w/ children etc., BEFORE their flight. Not available between peak hours of 10 AM to 1 PM. FREE. Same security/background checks.
– REPORT on the changes in our flight schedule in the summer heat.
– REPORT that Avelo Airlines will increase their service to Santa Rosa was seasonal, now it’s year-round. This makes 13 non-stop destinations this summer.
– REPORT on the newest restaurant that has opened; “NineCities Kraft” w/ kraft beers.
– DISCUSSION of the concessions that are underway. More will be opening soon.
– REPORT on the new restaurants and shops that are coming. There will be 6 restaurants, 2 coffee shops and an ice cream shop.
– REPORT that there is a new website that will tell you what you can and cannot take and the immediate statis of your flight, the occupancy of the parking lots, etc..www.flypsp.com. Go to www.tsa.gov and go to the section “what can I bring”.
– REPORT on the new check-in procedure, i.e. TSA. (www.tsa.gov) US Global Entry; Clear (www.clearme.com). Now you don’t have to go to a TSA office, starting soon will just have to go to PSP.
