ANIMAL SAMARITANS w/ Valerie Kattz and Jarred Ellis 73-407 Ramon Road, Thousand Palms, CA.
– REPORT that Feb., is the 4th “Have a Heart for Homeless Pets” month. Monies raised ALL MONTH by donations. On-line or in person. Partnered w/ the “Cowboy Cantina” in Palm Desert on Hwy., 111. Every Monday from 4 to 9 PM and MUST mention Animal Samaritans they will donate 15% of your ticket to Animal Samaritans. Goal is $5,000.
– REPORT on every Monday FED., DINNERS @ Cowboy Cantina fliers are available, and you can print on on-line.
– REPORT on every Thurs., night 3 – 10 PM @ Texas Roadhouse in Indio. Donate a portion of proceeds BUT YOU MUST TAKE THE FLIER to qualify.
– HOLD THE DATE: Feb., 24 – “Have a Heart” Drag Bingo @ the Barracks. Must be 21 or older. $5. Per game.
– REPORT that you can donate on the website and type in “have a heart”.
– REPORT that Animal Sams won CV Independent’s “Best Veterinary Clinic”.
– DISCUSSION of the great reports for the staff.
– DISCUSSION of checking your pet’s teeth. February is Pet Dental Health Month.
– REPORT that the 1st Sat., of every month you can go to their pet adoption event @ Pet Smart in Palm Springs from 11 AM to 1 PM.
– REPORT that their operating budget per year is $6 to 7 million for the clinics, the shelter and the volunteer programs.
– DISCUSSION of the success Animal Samaritans has had in adopting animals to their Forever Homes and making room for more animals in the shelters.
– HOLD THE DATES: March or April “Caterday Breakfast” and August for “Dogust”.
