C.V. HORSE RESCUE Brenda Vatland re: On Monroe Street in Indio. By the Red Jeep Tours. In the Valley since 1965.
– REPORT on mission statement; rescue horses, rehabilitate them, and find them “forever” homes. All volunteer (over 140) organization.
– REPORT on their foster home programs; their Veterans programs (every Wed., night).
– REPORT on their children’s programs.
– REPORT on how they get their leads. Word of mouth, when folks pass away etc., They have 14 horses now.
– DISCUSSION that the cost of hay and transport has doubled.
– REPORT that there are paid riding programs and lessons to raise funds.
– REPORT that new owners have to live in the proper zone to keep a horse.
