– BLOCK PARTY; on Sept. 19th, The “State of the City” will be held in the P.S. Art Museum where The “Jewels” will sing for us first. P.S. High School Band will escort us to the “Taste of the City” that Nona Watson has organized and then we will bury a time capsule, and then Harold Matzner is funding a fireworks show.
– Discussion about our homeless population. Our numbers are higher than our sister cities, because of our downtown and concentrated tourist population, as well as our vacant land. Sorry that “Roys” homeless shelter is closing.
– The new Rowan Hotel that’s coming.
– Marilyn will come back to the back side of the new Virgin Hotel on Museum Way….S/E Corner of the park. The “Virgin Marilyn”….lol
