– 12.15 – Clare Bridge Residents Holiday Party for residents, their family and friends.
– Residents will take a field trip to Candy Cane Lane.

FAMILY HOSPICE CARE w/ Dr. Howard Cohen and Donna Knight re: 255 El Cielo Road, Ste., C-300, Palm Springs, CA. 92262.
– Dr. Cohen is the Medical Director of Family Hospice Care.
– Donna is the Director of Volunteer Services for Family Hospice Care. In her photo she is wearing a shawl that one of the volunteers knitted to the patients.
– Donna meets EVERY new patient that comes to Family Hospice and discusses their needs.
– Medicare considers volunteers as employees who do not get paid.
– Hospice programs MUST HAVE a volunteer program. 12 hours of classes are required. They learn the philosophy and history. Volunteers must learn each discipline.
– Many hospice volunteers are family/friends of former hospice patients who can return after one year.
– Hospice services come to where you live.
– 98% of volunteers want to meet the patients.
– Volunteers do music, reflexology, poetry, writing of life stories, etc.
– Volunteers usually go to a patient once a week.
