June Appearances 2025

#12 – June 26, 2025 Happy 99th Bday to Mel Brooks.  Legendary EVERYTHING MAN!!!

#11 –  June 26, 2025. Happy 90th Bday to Fern Field Brooks.  So glad you were born.

#10 – Thanks to Sandy Martindale, caught up w/ Wayne Newton again last evening @ THE SHOW.  “Wayne Newton, Up Close and Personal”.  What a nice walk down memory lane, Wayne was 21, I was 18 when we were both on @ the Ed Sullivan (who?) Show. (Photo is of us in Montana, on Flathead Lake.) What a career he’s had and IS still having. www.hotwatercasino.com
#9 – Let’s agree many of us are “hard to entertain”.  Perhaps due to years in “the business” or boredom on some level, but CVVRep’s Executive Artistic Director Adam Karsten hit another home run Tues. night w/ Alix Korey’s wonderful appearance.  Heard the whispers that folks weren’t really aware of who she was, and didn’t recognize many of the songs, BUT the lady is the consummate entertainer, and in the true sense of the word, we all wanted MORE. Her style, banter, vocal gifts, humor and professionalism lit up the packed house.  Applause, applause! Summer Cabaret Series, Tues. and Thurs., www.cvrep.org
#8 – June 20, at the Historic Camelot Theatre’s BIG SCREEN w/ D.O.H.C.’s Helene LeClair, to see the screening of “All About Eve” and en-joey the great popcorn @ the Palm Springs Cultural Center. www.psculturalcenter.org. Marvelous to sit w/ an audience who reacts to a movie “as one”. Kudos to the Eric and the Camelot.

#7 – Gary Powers’ Revolution Stage Company presented “Our Name is Barbra” as a celebration of the late, great Clifford Bell, who brought this show to the RSC last year before his death. A bevy of gal singers offering all the signature songs of Barbra Streisand to a happy audience who even sang along. Especially nice was the revolving photo display of Ms, Streisand on the big screen. www.revolutionstagecompany.com
