DESERT-THEATRICALS w/ Ray Limon Amaya re; Artistic Director, Director, and Choreographer. CHORE
– REPORT that their recent season was the most successful in the 5 years they’ve been operating. They finished this season w/ “Oklahoma” and the Children’s show.
– REPORT that they will be shut down for a bit of wonderful remodeling.
– DISCUSSION of the other venues they will use during the remodeling of the Amphitheatre. In the new venue there can be larger live orchestras that the audience will be able to see. Food will be by Willie’s when they come back.
1. Rancho Mirage Library w/ have 2 musicals. Actually, two adult musicals and also the summer kids show July 26 and 27 of “Stuart Little”. Auditions will be held on June 10, 11.
2. Veterans Day Show and Christmas Show venues will be announced.

– REMINDER; Open Thurs., Fri., Sat., and Sun., 10 to 5 except Thurs. night from 12 to 8 and then admission is FREE due to City of Palm Springs from 5 to 8. DJ’s.

1. June 7 – Q + ART – Musical performance by San Cha. Reception afterwards. Celebrating LGBTQ Creative Achievements. This will be the closing performance. Everyone is welcome.
2. The new Bistro “Liv” is coming!!!
3. Annual Cocktail Cinema “Around Suburbia” throughout the summer. Series of 4 films. Starts June 15 – July 25 in the Annenberg Theater. FREE w/ registration. The cocktails will be inspired by the film.

PALM SPRINGS AIR MUSEUM w/ Ann Greer re: 745 N. Gene Autry Tr., Palm Springs, CA. 92262. The Patriotic Center of the Coachella Valley.
– REPORT that Sat., mornings from 10:30 – 12:30 PM “Open Cockpits” included w/ Museum admission.
HOLD THE DATE;
1. THURS., JUNE 6 – 80th Anniversary of the Landing @ Normandy.
– COMMEMORATIVE RIDES in the C47 for $195. w/ a certificate as well.
– REPORT that there is “Open Cockpit” EVERY SATURDAY from 10:00 AM to 12:00 NOON.
– REPORT on “inspiration first flight” for children one-at-a-time up in a Cessna.
– REPORT that the Museum is open every day from 10 AM to 5 PM. that KIDS 12 and under get in FREE w/ a paying adult. Friendly dogs on a leash. DO NOT LEAVE PETS IN A CAR. The Stealth Fighter is on display. 75 vintage planes and 12,500 volumes in the library.
– REPORT on the wonderful gift shop.
– REPORT that the museum will be open during the expansion as they build the Ronald M. Auen Learning Center.
