– After the families who aren’t local, may see a need for a change in living conditions for parents who do live here.
– DISCUSSION of the family dynamics involved in placing parents @ Brookdale and especially the different aspects in dealing w/ an Alzheimer’s patient.
– DISCUSSION of the safety precautions in place for all the residents. i.e. cigarettes etc., are kept under lock and key and dispersed under supervision.
– DISCUSSION of how the brain stops telling the throat how to swallow, etc., as Alzheimer’s progresses.
– Next month: discussion of transferring folks from one Brookdale facility to another one somewhere else in the Country.

– DISCUSSION of “Cremation Plus” being a compromise for family members who might not want just a cremation, that now can have a regular service as well.
