– QUESTION from a “Joey Pal”.
1. Please have Daniel explain what hours the Airport is open? (It’s open 24/7. The airport is NEVER locked. Checkpoints open @ 4 AM (1st flight in the AM is 6 or 6:30 AM – Airline ticket counters open about 2 hours before that first departure) Checkpoints close @ 5:45 PM or once the last departing flight has left. Last arrival is 10:30 or 11 PM so rental cars stay open a while after that.)
– REPORT that we have an “airport stray cat” that is well taken care of.
– REPORT that AS OF TODAY you can do your TSA pre-check AT THE AIRPORT. Start on-line then do your interview @ the airport. When you get to the airport go to the CLEAR Stand and tell them you are there for your TSA interview. SO on the new check-in procedure, i.e. TSA. – DISCUSSION of PSP being a “spoke”, not a “hub”. A hub is where passengers connect to other flights.

– REPORT that Red-Jeep Tours has put a pause on all of it’s tours for July and August BUT Joshua Tree. All the Jeeps will be re-furbished.

3. Joshua Tree – only one during the sumer.

1. Is sneezing bad OR good for you? (Actually, good for you. Different causes, even sunshine. Sneezing protects your body in a way. Can sneeze @ 100 mph., 100,000 germs go into the air!!)
2. What is Melasma? (Was called “pregnancy mask” Mostly on face. Discoloration that sometimes stays. Can be genetic. There are treatments.)
3. Is there a Vitamin that will extend life? (NIH study of 400,000 over 20 y7ears said NO. 4% actually, had a higher premature death rate on Vitamins. Better to get your Vitamins from diet, not pills)
4. Is there a cure for Sickle Cell Anemia? (Yes, sort of and the treatment is $3 million dollars. Sufferers have strokes before 40 and heart attacks before 20. Actually, doesn’t CURE SCA but treats it. Hoping to lead to a cure.)

5. What is vertigo? (Focused IN YOU EARS. Different types. There can be vestibular therapy and sometimes surgery. Causes folks to fall when they get up in the middle of the night.)
6. What is the Shigella Outbreak? (It’s a bacteria. Spread through a fecal/oral route. Outbreak is in Santa Clara County in a homeless population. Causes nausea, diarrhea, vomiting. These bacteria are very drug resistant. Keep washing hands. Not too contagious.)
7. Is there a new outbreak of Covid? (Pattern shows increase in Summertime and Christmas time. This bug likes hot steamy places. A new vaccine, the KP2 variant vaccine is coming along w/ a combined shot w/ flu vaccine.)
8. Is there now OTC birth control? (Called the “O” pill or the “mini” pill. Has no estrogen in it. YOU CANNOT MISS A DOSE.)
