– DISCUSSION that the number of deaths from Covid has decreased.
– DISCUSSION of what people want and do not want to disclose @ the time of death. 
– REPORT that Forest Lawn continues to use “universal precautions” in his industry.
– REPORT on how Forest Lawn must proceed when moving a casket that has been buried.
– REPORT on the containers for cremation.  Container must be made of certain durable materials and conforms to the laws Forest Lawn uses. 
– DISCUSSION that there are thousands of forms of urns for use.
– DISCUSSION of “Dance as though no one is watching; Love as though you’ll never get hurt; Sing as though no one can hear you and Live as though Heaven is on Earth.
– DISCUSSION that because life is so fragile, the best thing to do is plan your service ahead of time and if you pay for it, NO ONE CAN CHANGE IT.

– REPORT that Neuro Vitality Center is NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AGAIN and clients are excited to be back!!!!
– DISCUSSION of what Brenda dose in running the gym @ the Center.
– REPORT on how Brenda became a fitness expert.
– REPORT that Brenda works with clients w/ all kinds of issues that can’t go to a regular gym.
– DISCUSSION that you need a Doctor’s authorization to work out @ NVC.
– REPORT that the gym is open daily Monday thru Friday from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
– REPORT that once a new client is evaluated, Brenda will create a special program JUST FOR YOU AND YOUR NEEDS.
– REPORT that people are hesitant to start, thinking they can’t move or do the exercises.
– REPORT that both occupational and physical therapist evaluate you when you come into the Center.
– REPORT that clients can have ANY time of neurological issues.
– DISCUSSION of the lovely outdoor garden.
– REPORT that you need to show proof of vaccination, then you DON’T need a mask, and a TB test to become a client.

DEMENTIA HELP CENTER w/ Lisa Stanford re: Family Care Consultant w/ a background w/ Alzheimer and Dementia in her family.
– REPORT on article in Prevention Magazine.  Dementia is the umbrella term, Alzheimers is UNDER the umbrella of Dementia.
– REPORT that there are 100 types of Dementia. #1. Alzheimers. #2. Vascular Dementia. #3 Lewy-body dementia. #4. Parkinsons. #5. Frotal temporal lobe for people under 60.
QUESTIONS FROM JOEY PAL’S
1.Is there a connection between the way you walk and Dementia? (Yes. Can be, because of shuffling as you walk.)
– REPORT that an early visit to a neurologist is VITAL.  Need that early “footprint” and avoid progression of the disease.

AIDS LIFE CYCLE w/ Brett Klein
– REPORT on the June 5 thru 11, 2022, fundraiser for HIV/AIDS. Can sponsor someone (Brett Klein) who rides the 545 mile ride over 7 days from San Francisco to Los Angeles.  Brett wants to raise $10,000.
– REPORT on the “virtual” ride you can sponsor also.
– REPORT on “roadies” who volunteer all along the way. Great support staff….i.e. mechanics, medical support, food, housing, etc.,
– REPORT on Jade Bicycle Maintenance who will take all the bikes up to San Francisco for the riders.
– REPORT on they have stops every so often.
– REPORT on the training ride of 35 miles they went on. They have many routes throughout the Valley.  In conjunction w/ the Desert Roadrunners.  45 have signed up so far for the “ride”.
– REPORT that you can ride w/ them on Saturdays; you can follow them @ FB @ Desert Roadrunners; in Pride Parade; all kinds of community outreach.
– REPORT that Palm Springs has one team w/ 45 rides.  2800 riders in total. 3200 people are involved overall in the ride.  All vaccinated.  Will wear masks when they stop in towns and attending events, but not necessary  while riding.

– REPORT that in RC we have 80,000 children who are vaccinated w/ a 98.6% efficacy.  By Nov., we can vaccinate 5 year-olds and up.
– REPORT on boosters.  No shortage of shots now. 
– REPORT that there is a 25% reduction in cases nationally. The Delta variant has peaked.  The new Mu Variant has actually disappeared.
– REPORT that FDA now recommends boosters for folks over 65 or w/ weakened immune systems, folks @ high risk.
– DISCUSSION of the violence against health care workers. COVID IS NOT A POLITICAL ISSUE. The Center for
Digital Hate has started to take down certain types of information.
– DISCUSSION that COVID is NOT good business for hospitals.  Staff is exhausted as well. It is a struggle to keep up w/ difficult COVID patients in hospital.
– REPORT that only Pfiser has a booster @ this point in time.  Boosters have 90% efficacy.  Immunity lasts 6 months.

2. Pregnancy increases your chances of getting Covid? (No. 125,000 pregnant women have gotten Covid, but only 165 pregnant women have died of Covid, NOT the vaccine.  Only 1/3 of pregnant women are vaccinated.  Your immune system is under stress while pregnant, so one of the best things you can do is get vaccinated).
3. What do I have to fear from unvaccinated people IF I AM VACCINATED? (Nothing. Vaccinated folks might get a slight infection BUT will have very light symptoms, won’t go to the hospital AND WON’T GET DEAD).
4. The head of Moderna said the virus would be gone in a year? (Wow, hope he’s right.  Will be endemic, not PANDEMIC in a year).
