– REPORT that THEY ARE OPEN NOW. In-person visits can happen now. REPORT on the impact for the residents. All residents are vaccinated, AND if guests are vaccinated you can visit in the individual apartments. Masks are suggested still.

– STORIES of the reuniting of residents and family members now that we are in the ORANGE TIER.

NEURO VITALITY CENTER w/ Bev Greer re: C.E.O. 2800 E. Alejo, Palm Springs, CA. 16 years of doing this.
– REPORT on NVC being part of State CBAS and having to comply w/ their protocols.
– REPORT that NVC is not quite open yet. Their clients are all over the country and indeed the world due to the changes in technology due to the Pandemic.
– REPORT that for clients that don’t have Internet or WiFi, NVC gives them a tablet and teaches them how to participate in the NVC programs going forward.
– REPORT that anyone who needs their services should call and NVC will help in any way that they can.
– REPORT that their services and meetings will go forward in both VIRTUAL and IN PERSON scenarios.
– DISCUSSION of the new executive director, Allan Jensen. New clinical director Erin Ward.
– REPORT that they will open up to Dementia and Alzheimer patients when NVC can fully open up again. Highest risk factor for getting Dementia is aging.

CITY OF PALM SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT w/Chief Brian Reyes re: 200 S. Civic Drive, Palm Springs, CA. 92262.
– REPORT that he picked up a $50,000. check from The Tribe for the Boys and Girls Club (and that he is the President of the Board) because the Club needed funds to repair/replace several air conditioning units before the heat of the summer gets here.
– REPORT that The Tribe gave the Police Department a $25,000. grant to add some new and advanced computer programs to enable them to do better job reporting all crime scene investigations w/ 3D imaging, uses less staff, to document all scenes.
– REPORT that most of Palm Springs outdoor lighting is on palm trees and how much the new Pedestrian Crosswalks will be helpful and improve the safety for our pedestrians in our City.

3. Do supplements increase your risk of a stroke? (Again, depends on the health of the person taking them. Covid will increase your risk of stroke).
4. A home cure kit? (These are being developed and are going thru trials. May have these by the end of the year. Will be “by prescription”).
5. Los Angeles has stopped requesting vaccine? (They have done such a good job of vaccinating).
6. What will happen to me if I skip the 2nd shot? (You will still get a degree of efficacy of about 70%, versus 95% w/ both shots).
