– REPORT that Riverside County is having a slight increase in hospitalized cases THAT HAVE NOT BEEN VACCINATED.
– DISCUSSION that Ariel is Lindsey’s guest in the studio today. She’s an intern @ D.O.H.C.
– DISCUSSION of how the President of France and also the Country of Canada have said “enough” as to your access to ANYTHING if you are not vaccinated.
– REPORT that why folks don’t want to get vaccinated.
1. Younger people who feel that because they are younger, they won’t get as sick so don’t need the shots.
2. Because young cases are going up and they cannot get vaccinated at this point-in-time.
– QUESTIONS from “Joey Pals”
1. Is COVID a different disease in folks that are vaccinated? (Yes, because your body has some “defense” in place against the virus.).
2. What is in the nasal testing swab that folks “say” they are allergic to? (Perhaps an irritant, but really nothing in it to cause an allergy).
3. Sheriff says he won’t enforce mask mandate because it is not based on science? (Mask for the unvaccinated keeps the person and the community safe and are backed by the CDC. WHO says differently).
4. CRIPSR halts the virus? (Cut and paste sections of gene therapy and “fix” problems. Research is on-going about this re: coronavirus.)
5. Does your resting heart rate indicate how long you will live? (People w/ resting heart rates that is between 60 and 70 are in good shape. Exercise helps here. Flexible heart rates during the day are good.)
6. What is a grandmother neuron? (Lindsey will research).
7. Is Fibromyalgia an immune disease? (The pain and discomfort requires a good doctor to treat.)
8. What is “monkeypox”? (Showed up in Texas. High fever, no vaccine, risks if not treated.)
– REPORT on upcoming technology from Israel. i.e. oral insulin they are developing and applying this technology for an oral vaccine for Covid.
– REPORT that children under 12 still CANNOT get vaccinated. Studies on-going and are looking into vaccinating 5 – 11 year-olds in the fall.

– REPORT on the wonderful donors that provided new equipment for the Schnitzer/Novack Breast Center @ EH.
– DISCUSSION of the sequence patients go thru when they get the diagnosis for breast cancer.
– REPORT on the NEW state-of-the art 4 mammography units @ The Schnitzer/Novack Breast Center @ EH. And 2 units @ their other facility.
– REPORT on the innovations and improvements in Mammography units. Latest and greatest equipment now @ EH. Improvement in the “comfort” level for patients. Still need to “press”, but much more comfortable. Better quality resolution for the radiologist.
– REPORT that this new equipment has quicker “turn-around” times for results for the patients. In some cases, the “very same day”.
– REPORT on the “war” against breast cancer. Importance of early detection. Can detect cancers the size of a grain of salt.
– DISCUSSION of men/breast cancer/mammograms because men can also get breast cancer. The treatments are the same for men as for women w/ breast cancer.
– REPORT on the time frame for mammograms. 1st Screening Mammogram when you are 40. Then once a year.
– REPORT that the donors also afforded the purchase of the first and only dedicated upright biopsy guidance system made by Hologic Diagnostic & Medical Imaging Solutions.

– REPORT that the Lookout Lounge is open! It is in a new location on the 3rd floor near the windows. The Pine’s Café is open. The BRAND NEW KITCHEN is wonderful. New refrigeration, better prep areas, etc.
– REMINDER that everything that goes UP for the remodel WENT UP ON THE TRAM, some heavier items had to be lifted by helicopter.
– REPORT that John hopes to open Peaks for lunch soon. Retro look now, new lighting, getting new staff.
– REPORT that the maintenance shut-down is coming too.
– REPORT on the updated menu. PEAKS IS #8 in the world for cliff side dining!!! Hope to move up a couple of numbers this time.
– REPORT on the new cocktail items @ the new beautiful bar.

– DISCUSSION that the vaccine creates the defenses against the virus.
– REPORT that D.O.H.C. has new “Super Hero” band-aids.
– REPORT that a single dose of Pfiser and/or Moderna IS NOT REALLY EFFECTIVE AGAINST THE DELTA VARIANT. Get your 2nd dose. 94% effective.
. DISCUSSION that very rare side-effects of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

1. Who has natural immunity? (People who have “had” a disease have developed an immunity to it. BUT if you have had COVID-19 you still need to get your shots because natural immunity probably only lasts 3 months or so).
2. Is honey and turmeric a good antibiotic? (Honey that was made and pollInated in your geographical area help w/ allergies IN THAT AREA)
