– REPORT that we are starting the 45th. week of COVID-19 “Sheltering in Place”.
– REPORT that D.O.H.C. now HAS THE PFISER VACCINE. The gov’t was holding back vaccines for the second doses, and D.O.H.C. got 2,000 doses. They are vaccinating health care workers.
– REPORT that by next Fri. they will have vaccinated 2,000 health care workers and then go to the community.
– REPORT that Federal guidelines have changed to 65 plus for early tier vaccinations and then essential workers.
– REPORT that whether or not you are a D.O.H.C. client or not go to www.mydohc.com and sign up for an indoor vaccine in Palm Springs. Will open Indio location soon.
– REPORT that D.O.H.C. is working w/ high schools to set up vaccination stations in gyms, etc.
– REPORT that Johnson and Johnson Vaccine, requiring just one shot, will be hopefully distributed by March.
– DISCUSSION of Brian’s experience w/ his first shot and NO ISSUES.
– REPORT on how your appointment w/ D.O.H.C. will handle your vaccination. Different pods, questions to be certain you are eligible for the vaccine, (asked twice), you will be observed for @ least 15 minutes AFTER your vaccine to watch for side-effects.

1. QUESTION from KGX’s Garry; What is the “swiss cheese” model of treating COVID-19?
2. Why are the ICU beds so full and almost no flu patients. (Weak flu this year).
3. If you take OTC ibuprofen or acetaminophen, had a bad nights’ sleep or drink should you get the vaccine? (Yes, perhaps not to if you are pregnant. If you’ve HAD COVID-19 you don’t have to wait to get the vaccine, because we now have the supply available).
4. Can you spread the virus IF you have the vaccine? (Since there is NO virus in the vaccine, no).
5. After you get the vaccine how long does it take for your immunity to build up so you won’t get the virus. (About 2 weeks).
6. 70% of folks who have had COVID-19 may have lasting symptoms. (Yes)

– REPORT that the gas prices will be the most competitive in the Valley.

1. If Lalo can commune w/ the angel of a departed loved one, can he commune w/ the angel of someone not born yet? (Yes, because once a being is conceived, God “assigns” them a Guardian Angel to be w/ you for your whole life.)

2. Have you ever communed w/ the angel of someone who has not been born yet. (Yes, as soon as conception occurred, Lalo could “speak” to the Guardian Angel assigned to the “baby-to-be”).

RESTAURANT OF THE WEEK w/ Jacky Donnell re: “Elmer’s Restaurant”. 1030 E. Palm Cyn., Dr., Palm Springs.
– REPORT that Elmer’s is closed @ this point in time.
– REPORT on the “shut down” of her restaurant and the inability to provide “take out” in a fiscally responsible way for both the restaurant and her employees.
– REPORT on improvements she is making during this “shut down”. i.e. cement patio for outside dining going forward for seating for 20 to 30 customers.
– REPORT that she’s putting in artificial turf on the front lawn.
– DISCUSSION that restaurants might have been able to survive if they had been allowed to continue outside dining. All restaurants were complying w/ the rules and regulations, but were still forced to shut down.
– DISCUSSION of the impact on the Hospitality Industry, is quite large. So many restaurants will NOT be able to re-open.
– DISCUSSION of the monies restaurants have spent thus far in complying w/ all the regulations since March.
