– HAPPY NEW YEAR from Willie to all the “Joey Pals”.
– REPORT that he has started his own delivery team.
– REPORT that they are open for lunch take-out from 11 AM to 2 PM and then again for dinner take-out from 5 to 8 PM. All take-out menu is online. Trying to find ways to keep as many employees working as possible.
– REPORT on the possible new menu when “849” re-opens. Bring back the fried chicken.
– REPORT on the new restaurant, (w/ Chad) called “1501 Uptown GastroPub”. Casual but elegant bar food. Elevated pub food. Sandwiches, steaks, Willie’s shephard’s pie, international, bar food, small plates, beer. Entire space can become “outdoor” dining.
– DISCUSSION of re-opening “849” and then eventually “1501”.
– REPORT that the seating outdoors @ “1501” is quite large.

– QUESTION from a “Joey Pal” about the stress of home schooling a kindergarten child, older children being home as well, working from home, running a house, and is worried about the anger that is building in her.…breathe, realize you’re not alone, reach out to the school for help. Realize you are a good Mom, good teacher, and that this too will pass. At least this Mom recognizes the problem. Don’t judge yourself.
– REPORT that she has insight to this because her son-in-love is a kindergarten teacher. i.e. he reported that his kindergarten kids didn’t even know what a “mute” button was.
– REPORT on how tough this is on special ed students.
– REPORT that children do learn quickly. Even thru this Pandemic you will learn something positive.

1. Employees will NOT be required to live in the big cities and can work from their home.
2. Folks want to live where there is a better climate.

– REPORT that we are not relying on vacation home buyers as much. CV is becoming a “boom” town to drive-in crowd and fly-in crowd.

– REPORT that his stores have drive thru’s open, as usual. Most of his employees are still working.
– REPORT that the Palm Desert McDonald’s DOES NOT have a drive thru, so there are different protocols @ that store.
– REPORT that there is a promotion on the McDonald’s app. Each day thru the Holidays there is a FREE product w/ a $1. Purchase. On “Frosty The Snowman” Day there will be a give-away a FREE McFlurry. On Christmas Eve Day there will be a FREE give-away of cookies.
– REPORT on the new products; cinnamon roll, blueberry muffin, apple fritter!!! Can get these three ALL DAY.
– DISCUSSION of McDonalds in 2021. What will be our “new normal”.
– REPORT that Mc Rib is here now. In February the spicy Chicken McNuggets will be back!!! Filet of Fish was a choice between a grilled pineapple sandwich and a Filet of Fish. End of the first quarter there will be a Chicken Sandwich on a potato bun, w/ a different batter, and a pickle. GREAT!!!
