– REPORT on the need to find puppy raisers. Commit to 2 years. Puppies do better working and living w/ people.
– DISCUSSION that standard poodles are the BEST for guide dogs. They are hypoallergenic.
– REPORT that raising a guide dog IS REALLY A GIFT to a person who is visually challenged.
– REPORT that Guide Dogs will train you to be a puppy raiser.
– REPORT that Guide Dogs has the dog LIVE w/ the client on campus for 28 days. Makes certain the two are totally integrated.
– DISCUSSION that they only have 6 students at a time. Really one-on-one.
