DESERT-THEATRICALS w/ Ray Limon Artistic Director, director and choreographer and Joshua Carr; Dir. of Operations and Musical Director Re: The Rancho Mirage Amphitheater. 71560 San Jacinto Dr., R. M. 92270. (behind the Pink Elephant Car Wash).
– REPORT that Josh started out as a singer and then when he met Ray, who was a dancer. Now they do EVERY aspect of the shows.
– REPORT that this is the 6th season.
– REPORT that they have been a personal and professional couple for over 30 years.
– DISCUSSION of what the schedule might have been, (FREE shows @ the R.M. Library) vs what they are really doing.
– DISCUSSION of the youth programs they provide. Desert Theatrical Junior does 3 shows a year. 100 kids in the FREE program. FREE to kids and FREE to audience.
– REPORT that they hold auditions each year for the shows and folks come from all over to audition. Cast all 3 shows from this one
– DISCRIPTION of the Theatre. The “mini” Hollywood Bowl. Can seat up to 1,000 or 180 for dinner seating.

– “Adams Family” start of new season.
– REPORT on the LIVE orchestra w/ professional musicians that come from all over.
