– REPORT that puppy and kitten season NEVER REALLY ENDS. Ramps up in the Springs.
– DISCUSSION that spay and neuter services are more reasonably priced and even financial aid is available.
– REPORT AGAIN on the mama dog and 9 puppies that were left on the doorstep of the shelter. DON’T DO THAT. IT’s EVIL and ILLEGAL to abandon animals. Everyone is ok now. Photos on the website. www.animalsamaritans.org/adopt.
– REPORT on 77840 Flora Road in Palm Desert is the temporary location for the Clinic. Same phone, etc., There until March.
– HOLD THE DATES: Celebrating Valentines all month.
1. Fri., Feb., 21 – Booze Hounds “Yappy Hour” @ 2080 N. Palm Canyon from 4 – 6 PM. Bring a $10 donation @ the door. Food, drinks w/ heaters. Bring your friendly, leased doggies.
2. “Have a Heart” for homeless pets anytime in Feb., donate on-line. If you want to do an “Anti-Valentines” and their name will go on the kitty litter box for a donation!!!!
3. Sat., Feb., 15 Bingo @ Dicks in Palm Springs from 2 to 4 PM.
4. First Sat., every month; Adoption. 11 AM – 1 PM Pet Smart on Monterey in Palm Desert.
– REPORT on the Adoption fees are $90 for kitties and $250. for puppies.
– REPORT that volunteers are ALWAYS NEEDED.
– REPORT on the Pet Land Place construction that is planned. www.animalsamaritans.org/capitalcampaign.
– REPORT on how they have rescued over 16,000 animals from the County Shelters. There is a full-time staff member from Animal Samaritans who helps save the pets and get them the services they need.
