DESERT WATER AGENCY w/ Victoria Llort, Director of Public Affairs and Conservation. re: 1200 S. Gene Autry Tr., Palm Springs, CA. 92262.
– DISCUSSION that Llort is Spanish.
– REPORT that DWA maintains the fire hydrants. i.e. painted, test that water work, no leaks, etc.
– REPORT that they are tested frequently. There are 3600. One every 500 feet.
– REPORT that there is a fire hydrant on display at DWA cut in cross section. They are low maintenance.
– REPORT that they work in tandem w/ the Fire Dept., to monitor the reservoir sites.
– DISCUSSION that the reservoir have 3 types of water in them; fire, homes, emergency.

1. Would a power outage affect our water delivery system? (Yes, but DWA has back-up generators and has three 2,000 gallon water delivery trucks.)
