– REPORT that Phase #1 of the Capital Campaign has begun. Thousand Palms Clinic is CLOSED. The shelter is still there.
– REPORT on 77840 Flora Road in Palm Desert is the temporary location for the Clinic. Same phone, etc., There until March.
– REPORT that in the new facility the pre-op and the post-op sections will be separated. Calmer for everyone.
– REPORT that Phase #2 will start next year.
– REPORT that Animal Samaritans has dental care for both dogs and cats. SPECIAL ON DENTAL right now until the end of Sept., 20% off.
– HOLD THE DATES:
– Sun., Dec., 8 – Will be the 15th annual Men of the Desert. 11 AM – 2 PM @ the Palm Springs Air Museum. “Back to the Future” is the theme. Auction, cocktails, food by Lulu, fashion show from Susan Stein. Tix on sale soon. $200.
– REPORT on how they have rescued over 16,000 animals from the County Shelters. There is a full-time staff member from Animal Samaritans who helps save the pets and get them the services they need.
– REPORT on NOT WALKING YOUR DOGGIES ON THE HOT PAVEMENTS, NOT LEAVING A METAL LEASH ON THEIR NECKS, NOT LEAVING THEIR WATER IN A METAL BOWL.
