– REPORT that the Community Food Bank will be relocating. Contact Charles Huff.
– DISCUSSION of mission statement: Creating vibrant community and helping LGBTQ people along their way. No matter of age.
– REPORT that LGBTQ folks “come out” at ALL AGES.
– DISCUSSION of all the programs; i.e. behavioral health, food bank, Spanish, ukulele, knitting, bridge, pinochle, 12 step programs, etc.
– REPORT that they are open Monday – Friday 9 to 4. Staff is there in the evening as well.
– REPORT on her new position. A 3.5 yr. commitment to the Riverside County Office of the Superintendent’s Advisory Council on the Community Advisory Group on aging. Perhaps the first LGBTQ folks on this group.
– GOAL is to help folks age comfortably. “Age in Place”.
